Decision makers play a key role in fighting climate change, poverty, hunger, pollution and many other societal and environmental needs. This SPOTLIGHT focused on Policy & Stakeholder Dialogue raised awareness on the pivotal role of Sustainable Chemistry at all levels.. It explored strategies to integrate planetary boundaries into the chemistry industry, driving sustainable practices. The discussion also engaged stakeholders from different backgrounds to give input and feedback on the current EU’s Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design criteria. The topics included initiatives for sustainable and climate-friendly chemical production, involving youth and local communities in shaping science-policy. Overall, the sessions provided a platform for experts to exchange ideas, share best practices, and chart a path towards a sustainable future.
